MAYFLASH Magic-NS Conditions

  • Compatible with Nintendo Switch, PC, PS3, NEOGEO mini and PS Classic consoles.
  • Supports wireless Bluetooth connection to DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4), Xbox Wireless Controller (model 1708), Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller (requires firmware update), DUALSHOCK 3 (PS3), Six-Axis (PS3), Nintendo Switch Pro, Nintendo Joy-Con, Wii U Pro and Wiimote (Wii) controllers.
  • Supports wired USB connection to DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4), Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Elite Controller, Nintendo Switch Pro, DUALSHOCK 3 (PS3), Six-Axis (PS3), Xbox 360, Logitech F510, Logitech and F310 controllers.

  • Controller rumble is available only in Nintendo Switch Pro mode.
  • A DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4) controller on Nintendo Switch will convert the touchpad button to the Nintendo Switch capture button.
  • Chatpads and headsets connected to the controller 3.5mm jack are not supported.
  • Mods, macros and turbo buttons are not supported.

Magic NS wireless controller adapter works with Nintendo Switch, Windows 10 PC, PlayStation 3 (PS3) and NEOGEO mini.

Magic-NS has wireless Bluetooth support for DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4), Xbox One S (model 1708), Xbox Elite Series 2 (requires firmware update), DUALSHOCK 3 (PS3), Six-Axis (PS3), Nintendo Switch Pro, Nintendo Joy-Con, Wii U Pro & Wiimote (Wii) controllers. Wii Classic/Pro controllers and Wiimote Nunchuk work when connected to Wiimote.

Magic-NS has wired USB support for DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4), Xbox Wireless Controller, Xbox Elite Controller, Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller, Nintendo Switch Pro, DUALSHOCK 3 (PS3), Six-Axis (PS3), Xbox 360, Logitech F510, Logitech F310 controllers.

Each Magic-NS device supports only one gaming controller at a time. Multiple Magic-NS devices can be used on a supported gaming system if additional console-crossover controllers are required.

Magic-NS will work in any game on any compatible gaming system, however supported control methods vary from game to game. For example, not all PC games support controller input. 

Magic-NS has no support for mods, macros or turbo buttons. Magic-NS functions purely as a controller adapter.

Titan One and Titan Two controller adapters feature on-board mods, macros & turbo buttons, and work with Nintendo Switch consoles.

Magic-NS has no support for 3.5mm headsets or microphones attached to the controller.

Magic-NS has no support for chatpads connected to the controller.

Magic-NS has no support for steering wheels.

Magic-NS has no support for mice & keyboards. However, Magic-NS can be used to connect XIM APEX mouse & keyboard adapter to Nintendo Switch.

Nintendo Switch is not a supported XIM APEX gaming system and results may be unpredictable.

Magic-NS operates at the Nintendo Switch default USB polling rate of 8ms. Nintendo Switch console cannot accept higher polling rates.

If pairing Magic-NS with a XIM APEX mouse & keyboard adapter, set Response Rate to 125Hz to XIM APEX Manager → Global Settings. To view the Response Rate setting, ensure “Enable expert configuration” is enabled in Global Settings.

There is no macOS support for Magic-NS wireless controller adapter or software. 

Hold the button on the side of Magic-NS for 3-5 seconds to cycle between supported gaming systems.

  • Blue LED – PC DInput / PS3 mode.
  • Red LED – Nintendo Switch mode.
  • Green LED – PC XInput mode.
  • Purple LED – Nintendo Switch Pro mode.
  • Yellow LED – NEOGEO mini mode.

To sync a wireless Bluetooth controller to Magic-NS:

  1. Connect Nintendo Switch system to a TV, or turn on your computer if using Magic-NS on PC.
  2. Connect Magic-NS to a spare USB port on Nintendo Switch or PC.
  3. Turn on the Bluetooth controller.
  4. To sync the Bluetooth controller with Magic-NS, press the button on the side of Magic-NS, and then press the Sync / Connect button on your Bluetooth controller.
  5. The LED on Magic-NS blinks quickly to indicate Bluetooth pairing is active, then solid when pairing is complete.
  6. Your controller is now ready to use.

If Bluetooth syncing fails, connect the Bluetooth controller to Magic-NS using a USB cable (not included). As soon as the controller is identified by the system, disconnect the USB cable and restart the Bluetooth sync process from step 3.

The LED on Magic-NS indicates the status of the Bluetooth connection to a connected controller.

  1. LED blinks slowly to indicate a Bluetooth controller is not connected.
  2. LED blinks quickly when a Bluetooth controller is being synced to Magic-NS.
  3. LED light will remain solid to indicate an active Bluetooth controller connection.

To connect a wired USB controller to Magic-NS:

  1. Connect Nintendo Switch system to a TV, or turn on your computer if using Magic-NS on PC.
  2. Connect Magic-NS to a spare USB port on Nintendo Switch or PC.
  3. Connect a wired controller to Magic NS using a USB cable (not included).
  4. Your controller is now ready to use.

Xbox 360 controllers must be wired. A wireless Xbox 360 with Play-and-Charge kit will not work as there are no data lines in the USB cable.

Follow the steps below to update the Magic-NS firmware:

  1. Download the Magic-NS software to a Windows PC.
  2. Double-click the Magic-NS updater app and leave the window open on the screen.
  3. Connect the Magic-NS adapter via USB to a spare USB port on the PC.
  4. Set the Magic-NS adapter to Nintendo Switch or Dinput mode (The LED indicator is Red or Blue). To switch Magic-NS to Nintendo Switch or DInput mode, press and hold the button located at the side of the adapter for 3-5 seconds to cycle through gaming system modes.
  5. As soon as the adapter has been recognised (LED indicator turns off), select “Update” in the Magic-NS updater app.
  6. Do not disconnect the Magic-NS device from PC until the update has completed successfully.
Nintendo Switch

A to B & X to Y can be swapped in Nintendo Switch Pro mode (Purple LED).

  1. To switch A < > B & X < > Y, hold the START and B / CIRCLE buttons for 3 seconds.
  2. To return A, B, X & Y to default settings, hold the START and A / CROSS buttons for 3 seconds.
Windows PC

A to B and X to Y can be swapped on a PC in Xinput mode (Green LED).

  1. To switch A < > B & X < > Y, hold the START button and A / CROSS buttons for 3 seconds.
  2. To return A, B, X & Y to default settings, hold the START button and B / CIRCLE buttons for 3 seconds.
