Titan One FAQ

How does Titan One work?

Titan One borrows the identity of a genuine gaming controller through the process of authentication. The Security ID of the controller connected to Titan One is stored on the device and the console detects Titan One as that specific controller.

Disconnect the authentication controller, then connect any compatible controller to Titan One. Titan One will convert the controller’s signals to the console in real time. This allows the use of almost any controller on any supported gaming system.

The controller used for authentication cannot be used while the Titan One has borrowed the security ID of that controller. A console only allows one unique security ID to be used at any one time.

What's the difference between Titan One and CronusMAX?

Titan One and CronusMAX share a common ancestor (GamepadProxy) and have many features in common.

CronusMAX firmware updates stopped in May 2017, with no new features since that time. Titan One remains under active development, with the latest updates adding support for Nintendo Switch consoles, wireless Xbox One S controllers and Xbox One Elite Series 2 compatibility.

Differences
  1. Titan One supports wireless connection to Xbox One S (model 1708) controller. CronusMAX does not.
  2. Titan One supports wireless Xbox One S (model 1708) controller connection to Xbox One and Xbox 360 consoles. CronusMAX does not.
  3. Titan One supports Xbox One Elite Series 2 controllers, wired and wirelessly. CronusMAX does not.
  4. Titan One supports Nintendo Switch Pro controllers. CronusMAX does not.
  5. Titan One supports Nintendo Switch console. CronusMAX does not.
  6. Titan One supports PS4 Remote Play on PC and Mac. CronusMAX does not.
  7. Titan One supports DUALSHOCK V2 (CUH-ZCT2U) controllers on XIM APEX. CronusMAX does not.
  8. Titan One connects XIM APEX to PS4 Remote Play. CronusMAX does not.
  9. CronusMAX includes a Bluetooth adapter and USB sound card for PS4. Titan One does not (Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter sold separately).
  10. CronusMAX has a larger library of pre-made Gamepacks than Titan One, however all CronusMAX GPC Library Scripts (several thousand) work natively on Titan One.
  11. CronusMAX has PS4 Wheel Mode and Full PS4 Crossover Support via CronusMAX USB Hub. Titan One does not.

We recommend Titan One for PS3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac due to better gaming system and wireless support. PS4 is 50/50, depending on needs – XIM APEX & PS4 Remote Play (Titan One), or PS4 wheel & full crossover (CronusMAX USB Hub).

Which gaming systems work with Titan One?

Titan One is compatible with PlayStation 5 , Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 3, Xbox 360, PlayStation TV, Windows PC (XP/Vista/7/8/10) and macOS.

Titan One can be used for Steam (PC, Mac & Linux), Xbox Console Companion (PC) and PS Remote Play (PC & Mac).

Does Titan One work on Xbox Series X | S consoles?

Using a Titan One on Xbox Series X | S  requires the latest Titan One firmware.

Titan One is compatible with Xbox Series X | S consoles and games using the Xbox Series X | S Wireless Controller (USB only), Xbox One Wireless Controller, Xbox Elite Controller and Xbox Elite Series 2 Controller.

Does Titan One work on PlayStation 5 (PS5) consoles?

Using a Titan One on PlayStation 5 (PS5)  requires the latest Titan One firmware.

Titan One is compatible with PlayStation 5 consoles and PS5 games using the DUALSENSE controller. Titan One will quickly disconnect & reconnect a DUALSENSE controller with the PlayStation 5 console every 8 minutes to reauthenticate the controller connection.

Using a supported third-party PS4 controller with Titan One does not require controller reauthentication. Titan One will remain connected to the PlayStation 5 console at all times. Supported third-party PS4 controllers include Scuf, Nacon, Razer, Astro, Hori, Mad Catz and more.

Titan One works with a DUALSHOCK 4 V2 controller to play PS4 games on PlayStation 5 console, with no disconnects.

Titan One also works via PS Remote Play app on Windows 10 and macOS to play PS5 games on a PlayStation 5 console using a DUALSHOCK 4 V2 controller.

Why does a PS5 controller disconnect after 8 minutes?

PlayStation 5 needs to authenticate a DUALSENSE controller with the console every 8 minutes, or the controller will disconnect. There is a short, automatic 800ms reconnection when using a Titan One on PS5 with a DUALSENSE controller.

Using a supported third-party PS4 controller does not require Titan One to auto-authenticate and will not cause a timeout. Titan One will remain connected to the PS5 console at all times.

Does Titan One work with PS RemotePlay?
Titan One supports PS Remote Play on PC and Mac to play PS5 & PS4 games:
  1. On PS5 / PS4, go to Settings → Remote Play Connection Settings → Enable Remote Play.
  2. On PS5 / PS4, go to Settings → Account Management → Activate as Your Primary PS5 / PS4 → Activate.
  3. Connect Titan One to PC via the PROG port using a mini-USB cable (included).
  4. Set Output Protocol in Gtuner Pro → Tools → Options → Device to PS Remote Play.
  5. Start PS Remote Play app on PC or Mac.
  6. Disconnect the mini-USB cable and plug Titan One into an available USB port on PC or Mac.
  7. Connect your preferred wired controller to Titan One (DUALSHOCK 4, DUALSHOCK 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360 or Nintendo Switch Pro).
Titan One can connect XIM APEX to PS via Remote Play:
  1. Perform steps 1 – 6, as above.
  2. Connect mouse, keyboard & DUALSHOCK 4 controller to the XIM APEX USB Hub.
  3. Connect XIM APEX to Titan One.
Which controllers work with Titan One?

Titan One requires a genuine Sony DUALSENSE (PS5), Sony DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4), Sony DUALSHOCK 3 (PS3), Sony Six-Axis (PS3), Xbox Series X | S or Xbox One Wireless Controller, Xbox Elite, Xbox Elite Series 2, Xbox 360 Wired Controller, or Nintendo Switch Pro controller connected via USB for start up authentication with the gaming system. Xbox Play & Charge Kits are not supported due to no data lines in the USB cable.

After authenticating Titan One with a genuine controller, Titan One will work with other controllers, including PS3 Move Navigation Controller, Nintendo Switch Pro, Wiimote, Wii U Pro, Mad Catz fightsticks, Thrustmaster HOTAS (via MaxAim DI plugin for Gtuner Pro), XIM APEX, and some models of Scuf, Nacon, Razer, Tuact, Hori, PowerA and FragFX controllers.

Scuf Vantage, Razer Raiju Ultimate and Steam controllers are not supported.

View the full list of compatible controllers for more information. Please confirm that your controller works with Titan One, or contact us prior to purchase as we do not provide refunds for using Titan One with incompatible equipment.

Can I use wireless controllers with Titan One?

Titan One works with a Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter (sold separately) to connect to DUALSENSE (PS5), DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4), DUALSHOCK 3 (PS3), Sony Six-Axis (PS3), Xbox Wireless Controller (model 1708), Xbox Elite Series 2, Move Navigation Controller (PS3), Nintendo Wiimote and Nintendo Wii U Pro controllers.

Unlike CronusMAX PLUS, Titan One supports wireless Xbox One S (model 1708) and Xbox Elite Series 2 Bluetooth controllers on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Authenticate by USB, then insert the Bluetooth adapter into Titan One. Xbox One original and Elite (Series 1) controllers are not Bluetooth devices and have no wireless support on Titan One.

Nintendo Joy-Con Bluetooth controllers are not supported. Nintendo Switch Pro controller works with Titan One via USB only.

Xbox Series X | S controllers are currently supported via USB only.

Xbox 360 wireless controllers require a Microsoft Xbox 360 Wireless Receiver (not included).

Supported wireless controllers can be used on PlayStation 4, Playstation 3, PlayStation TV, Xbox 360, Xbox One and Windows PC. The controller connects to Titan One via Bluetooth and Titan One connects via USB to the gaming system.

View the Titan One Device Guide to pair a supported wireless controller. The Manual Pairing instructions for may be more reliable than Automatic Pairing.

Does Titan One have any lag?

Titan One is set to communicate with a console at 1ms by default, which is virtually undetectable. However, this may cause additional input lag due to USB desynchronisation with a connected third-party controller, e.g. XIM APEX may flash purple to indicate a timing issue.

For stability and compatibility, we recommend disabling 1ms Response in Gtuner Pro → Tools → Options → Device and setting Output Protocol (same Gtuner Pro tab) to match the gaming system you’re currently using. PlayStation 4 has controller input lag of 4ms. Xbox One has controller input lag of 8ms.

For Gamepacks, GPC scripts & macros, the default processing loop of Titan One is 10ms. This cannot be changed in a Gamepack, but can be reduced in GPC scripts using the vm_tctrl command to speed up mods at the cost of increased CPU load. It’s not recommended to go below 4ms for the processing loop as input may not be detected by the console and the Titan One CPU may be put under excessive load.

Does Titan One work in any game?

Titan One works with a Bluetooth 4.0 Adapter (sold separately) to connect to DUALSENSE (PS5), DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4), DUALSHOCK 3 (PS3), Sony Six-Axis (PS3), Xbox Wireless Controller (model 1708), Xbox Elite Series 2, Move Navigation Controller (PS3), Nintendo Wiimote and Nintendo Wii U Pro controllers.

Unlike CronusMAX PLUS, Titan One supports wireless Xbox One S (model 1708) and Xbox Elite Series 2 Bluetooth controllers on Xbox One and Xbox 360. Authenticate by USB, then insert the Bluetooth adapter into Titan One. Xbox One original and Elite (Series 1) controllers are not Bluetooth devices and have no wireless support on Titan One.

Nintendo Joy-Con Bluetooth controllers are not supported. Nintendo Switch Pro controller works with Titan One via USB only. Xbox Series X | S controllers are supported via USB only.

How many controllers can I use with Titan One?

Each Titan One device supports only one gaming controller at a time. Multiple Titan One devices can be used on a supported gaming system if additional mod-enabled or console-crossover controllers are required.

Why does PS4 disconnect crossover controllers after 10 minutes?

PS4 authenticates DUALSHOCK 4 controllers with the console every 10 minutes. Wired or wireless DUALSHOCK 4 controllers connected to Titan One automatically respond to authentication pings and won’t disrupt gameplay when PS4 partial crossover is disabled in Gtuner IV.

When using a crossover controller on PS4 via Titan One, e.g. Xbox One Elite controller, there will be a short disruption while PS4 reauthenticates Titan One.

Open Gtuner Pro configuration software on PC, go to Tools → Options → Titan One and tick Enable PS4 partial crossover support. Titan One responds to console requests by quickly disconnecting and reconnecting Titan One to PS4, which takes only a fraction of a second.

Can I use a controller headset with Titan One?

Titan One has no support for 3.5mm headsets or microphones attached to the controller. A USB soundcard (not included) can be used instead on PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4.

Follow these instructions for a two-controller workaround for Xbox One:

  1. Connect a controller that will not be used with Titan One to the rear USB port of the Xbox One and start the console. Plug the 3.5mm headset into this controller.
  2. Sign into the Xbox account you want to use online.
  3. Start Party Chat with a friend.
  4. Once chat is working through the headset, plug the Titan One into a front Xbox One USB port. Authenticate with an Xbox One controller connected to Titan One.
  5. With the Titan One controller, navigate to your profile pic at top-left of the screen. Press A, select “Choose this person” and press A again.
  6. Continue chatting via the second controller while controlling games via Titan One.
Can I use a chatpad with Titan One?

Titan One has no support for chatpads connected to the controller.

Messages can be typed using the connected controller, or use the iOS or Android chat apps for PlayStation Network, Xbox Live, Steam etc.

Can I use a steering wheel with Titan One?

Steering wheels may be connected to PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 via the MaxAim DI plugin for Gtuner Pro software.

Wheels connected by MaxAim to Titan One will behave like a controller rather than a native steering wheel, with no support for Force Feedback or other wheel features or effects.

Titan Two has full support for Logitech G25, G27, G29 and Driving Force steering wheels on PS4. Titan Two has full Force Feedback, 900° turning, hi-res spring, clutch and shifter support, without needing a PC connection.

Can I remap a controller using Titan One?

The MaxRemapper plugin for Gtuner Pro software can remap buttons, analog sticks and sensors to customise the controller layout for any game.

MaxRemapper stores custom layouts as Remapper Profiles in Gtuner Pro. Remapper Profiles can be dragged and dropped from the Programmer tab to a Titan One Memory Slot.

Can I use Titan One to play PC games?

Titan One controller adapter and Gtuner Pro configuration software can be used for Windows PC gaming when using a supported DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4) or Xbox One controller. It is not possible to use a mouse & keyboard on PC via Titan One.

Titan One works with gaming services like Steam, Origin, Epic Games Launcher & Uplay Launcher, as well as streaming apps like PS4 Remote Play and Xbox Console Companion on PC.

Supported input methods will vary from game to game. Most modern games on Steam support wired and wireless Xbox One S (model 1708) and DUALSHOCK 4 (PS4) controllers. Look for “Full controller support” in the game’s Store Page in Steam to check for gamepad support prior to purchasing or installing a PC game.

Can I use mouse & keyboard with Titan One?

Titan One can be used for mouse & keyboard passthrough from PC to console, however we don’t recommend it for this purpose. Take a look at XIM APEX instead of Titan One for a superior plug-and-play mouse & keyboard experience for console gaming, without a PC connection.

A Windows PC is required to use a Titan One as a mouse & keyboard adapter for console games via the MaxAim DI plugin for Gtuner Pro software. It is not possible to use a mouse & keyboard on PC via Titan One, MaxAim DI is for console gaming only.

How do I use PC-connected devices on Titan One?

PC-connected devices such as joysticks, flight sticks and steering wheels can be connected to console games via Titan One and the MaxAim DI plugin for Gtuner Pro software.

Does Titan One work on a Mac?

Titan One controller adapter works in Steam and PS Remote Play on a Mac.

Steam games must support macOS to run on a Mac. Look for the Apple logo on a game’s Store page in Steam to confirm Mac compatibility.

Gtuner Pro does not have a native macOS app. Gtuner Pro can be installed into a Windows Bootcamp partition, or a VMWare Fusion, Parallels or VirtualBox Windows virtual machine.

Does Titan One work on Nintendo Switch?

Titan One supports Nintendo Switch console and Nintendo Switch Pro Controller via USB.

Does Titan One work with XIM APEX?

Titan One officially supports XIM APEX to add Gamepacks, GPC scripts, macros and PS Remote Play. XIM APEX features such as 1000Hz polling, controller headset audio & Push to Talk are not supported.

Using a XIM APEX with Titan One on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X | S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 requires a genuine console controller connected to the XIM APEX USB hub at all times, e.g. a DUALSHOCK 4 on PS4. Unlike CronusMAX, both DUALSHOCK 4 V1 and V2 controllers are supported by Titan One.

If XIM APEX flashes purple when connected to Titan One, there is a USB timing mismatch between the two devices, resulting in additional input lag to the gaming system. To resolve, disable Inframe In, Inframe Out & 1ms Response in Gtuner Pro → Tools → Options → Device, and set the XIM APEX Response Rate to 125 or 250Hz in XIM APEX Manager → Global Settings.

Is Titan One a cheat device?

It depends how a Titan One is used.

Using a Titan One to connect a DUALSHOCK 4 controller to Xbox One, or a G25 Steering Wheel to PS4, or a mouse & keyboard from PC to console etc, is not considered cheating. Titan One is simply a bridge between the console and your preferred controller. Many disabled gamers (20% of video gamers are disabled) use controller adapters as assistive technology and would not be able to play video games without a Titan One or similar device.

Using a Titan One for Gamepacks, GPC scripts or macros is in breach of the Terms of Service of PlayStation Network and Xbox Live. The majority of mods like Rapid Fire, Antirecoil and Easy Sprint are almost zero risk as they simply automate normal controller input and are difficult to detect. Arguably, Gamepacks, GPC scripts & macros can be classed as assistive technology as disabled gamers may not be able to press or hold controller buttons.

Use of mod & macros is entirely at your own risk and you may be reported by other players in a multiplayer game for cheating. We don’t recommend mods that exploit in-game glitches, or telegraph their use, such as Aim Assist Abuse, Jitter weapon-swapping, or AFK XP or gold farming. Likewise, it is high-risk to stream on platforms such as Twitch, YouTube, Facebook or Mixer while using mods or macros. Be aware that if you are streaming, or a game has match recording, observer mode, or kill feeds, there is an increased risk of being reported for cheating.

Is Titan One an aimbot?

There is no such thing as an aimbot on consoles. Unlike Windows PC where every file of a game can be accessed and potentially hacked, consoles are closed environments with no direct access to the operating system. Titan One has no access to game code, netcode, the CPU, RAM, hard drive or network interface.

Titan One is a controller adapter and Gamepacks, GPC scripts & macros simply automate button presses and/or stick movements. Titan One mods are not aimbots. Rather, they abuse Aim Assist to make targeting an opponent easier, but it is not possible to auto-aim at a target.

Titan One Gamepacks or GPC scripts that falsely claim to be “aimbots” perform one or more of three basic actions:

  1.  Rapidly zoom the Aim Down Sights button (L2 / LB) in and out to exploit the target lock-on effect of Aim Assist. Very few games support this method of Aim Assist abuse, so it’s largely ineffective.
  2. Circle or wiggle the right analog stick in a small zone around the crosshair to increase the effective range of Aim Assist. This method of Aim Assist abuse does work in some popular games, however Aim Assist in multi-player tends to be lower than single-player and the effect is of dubious value.
  3. “100% accuracy” mods reduce the fire-rate of automatic weapons to prevent reticle bloom (crosshairs increasing in size over time). This can be an effective tactic at long range, but it reduces damage per second (DPS) by nerfing fire-rate. It’s preferable to tap-fire long range shots to prevent bloom, while retaining full DPS at closer ranges.

All Gamepacks and GPC scripts with “aimbot” mods perform the same actions listed above. The only variance is the timing of button hold and release commands that are coded into a mod.

Can I get banned for using Titan One?

Titan One Gamepacks, GPC scripts and macros have been used on PlayStation, Xbox and PC for many years. Titan One appears as the gaming controller connected to it (or authenticated by it) and it is currently undetectable by compatible gaming systems, gaming networks and video games.

There are no verified reports of anyone being banned for using a Titan One, nor any other mod-capable controller adapter.  In fact, Titan One is used in competitive console esports tournaments due to its ability to virtually eliminate controller input lag.

Gamepacks, mod scripts and macros simply automate sequences of button presses and/or stick movements that can be performed when using a controller. However, you may be reported by other players as suspected of using mods, macros, turbo buttons, or game exploits and their use is entirely at your own risk.

Mod Squad is not responsible for Gamepacks, GPC scripts or macros used on a Titan One, nor are any pre-installed on Titan One when the device is purchased. We do not provide support for Gamepacks, GPC scripts or macros, nor any guarantee or warranty that the Titan One device or a Gamepack, GPC script or macro running on it will be undetectable on compatible gaming systems in the future.

In the unlikely event of a ban, we are not responsible for, nor offer any form of compensation for how you choose to use a Titan One. Bans and suspensions are typically the result of poor online behaviour, not the device used to play a game.

What is a mod?

A mod (or combo) is a short, repeating sequence of controller button presses and/or analog stick movements to automate in-game actions. For example, Rapid Fire automatically repeats R2 / RT button presses while a trigger is held. Similarly, Antirecoil automatically emulates the downward pull of a right analog stick while shooting to counter the upwards movement of a crosshair.

Multiple mods can be active at the same time, e.g. Rapid Fire and Antirecoil use different controller buttons and can perform their actions concurrently. Mods that affect the same buttons or analog sticks cannot be active at the same time, e.g enable Drop Shot, or Strafe Shot, or Crouch Shot, not all of them.

Use Combo Magick plugin for Gtuner Pro software to record and convert controller button presses to editable GPC mods in seconds.

What is a macro?

Macros are automated sequences of button presses and/or analog stick movements that can be several minutes in length and repeated indefinitely. An example might be a farming run in a zone of Elder Scrolls Online, or a full length song recording in Guitar Hero.

Macros can be recorded using the GameRec plugin for Gtuner Pro software, then played back via Titan One to any video game on a supported gaming system.

What is a Gamepack?

A Gamepack is a pre-made pack of mods created for a specific game by the Titan One developers. Free Gamepacks can be downloaded from the Programmer tab of the Gtuner Pro software.

Gamepack settings can be customised using a configuration menu, but Gamepacks are not open-source and cannot be edited to add, change or remove individual mods.

What is a GPC script?

GPC (GamepadProxy C) is a subset of the C programming language created by Jefferson Koppe (the inventor of GamepadProxy, CronusMAX, Titan One and Titan Two) to author Gamepacks and mods.

GPC scripts are community-made mod packs that do not feature a configuration menu. Thousands of free GPC scripts are available for download from the GPC Library on the ConsoleTuner website, or through the Online Library tab of the Gtuner Pro software.

GPC scripts can be coded from scratch, or existing GPC scripts can be edited via the GPC Compiler tab of Gtuner Pro. GPC scripts are open-source, so mods can be added, changed or removed to customise a script for your specific needs.

Titan One is compatible with CronusMAX GPC scripts. Titan Two GPC scripts do not work on Titan One.

Where do I find the Titan One manual?

Titan One has extensive online documentation covering the Titan One hardware, supported gaming controllers, Gtuner Pro software, plugins, Gamepacks, GPC scripting and more.

How do I setup my Titan One?

Download and install Gtuner Pro software for Windows PC, then view the Getting to know your Device guide to learn how to setup Titan One.

How do I update Titan One?

Download and install Gtuner Pro software for Windows PC. Use the supplied mini-USB cable to connect Titan One to PC via the PROG port. Open Gtuner Pro and select Tools → Firmware Update to install the latest firmware to your Titan One device.

Where do I find Gamepacks and GPC scripts?

Download and install Gtuner Pro software for Windows PC. Gamepacks are downloaded via the Programmer tab of Gtuner Pro. GPC scripts are downloaded via the Online Library tab of Gtuner Pro.

How do I install Gamepacks and GPC scripts?

Gamepacks and GPC scripts are installed to Titan One by opening Gtuner Pro software on PC and connecting Titan One to PC via the PROG port. Gtuner Pro will automatically detect the connected Titan One.

From the Programmer tab in Gtuner Pro, drag a Gamepack from the GAMEPACKS menu onto a Titan One Memory Slot. An easy-to-use configuration menu will open for the selected Gamepack. Configure your preferred settings, then click the Program Device button to install. To reopen a Gamepack’s configuration menu, click the Titan One memory slot number in the Programmer tab.

Download GPC scripts via the Online Library tab of Gtuner Pro. Browse or Search for a GPC script, then select the Download button to the right of the script. The GPC script will automatically open in the GPC Compiler tab of Gtuner Pro. If required, edit the red values in a GPC script to customise to your needs, then open the Compiler menu and select Compile (or press F7).  If there are no errors in the GPC script, click the Save icon, give the file a name and save to your PC.

To install a GPC script to Titan One, open the Programmer tab after saving the file and it will appear in the COMPILER SCRIPTS menu. Drag and drop the GPC script to a Titan One Memory Slot, then click Program Device to install to Titan One.

Can I use CronusMAX Gamepacks on TItan One?

CronusMAX Gamepacks are locked within the ecosystem of Cronus PRO configuration app and cannot be installed on Titan One.

Many CronusMAX GPC scripts feature the same mods (and more) as a CronusMAX Gamepack. CronusMAX GPC scripts are compatible with Titan One.

Can I use CronusMAX GPC scripts on Titan One?

Titan One and CronusMAX scripts share the same GPC programming language and will run natively on both devices.

Why isn't my Gamepack or mod script working?

Video game developers change game mechanics on a frequent basis, so it’s not unusual for a mod to stop working months or years after a Gamepack or GPC script was created, e.g. Jitter weapon-swapping exploits in CoD games don’t work for very long.

Game developers may change the stickiness of aim assist, reduce the lock-on effect of aiming down sights, patch gameplay exploits, increase recoil or reticle bloom, remove weapons etc. Game changes are beyond the control of Titan One and a Gamepack or GPC script may have a reduced effect, or no longer work.

Mod Squad does not provide support for Gamepacks, GPC scripts or macros. Visit the Gamepack Support or GPC Script Programming forums on the ConsoleTuner website, or create your own mods to adjust for changes to gameplay. We do not provide any form of compensation if the Titan One device, a Gamepack, GPC script, or macro does not perform as you’d like in a game.

Why isn't my Titan One working?

There are a number of common causes for a non-working Titan One. The following solutions will resolve almost all issues:

  1. Use the power button to turn on the console instead of the PS or XBox button on the controller. Also, remove the battery from Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers. Otherwise, Titan One may be bypassed by the controller connecting wirelessly to the console.
  2. Fully charge the controller before connecting to Titan One. Titan One will trickle-charge a controller to keep it fully charged, but may not receive enough power from the console to charge a drained controller. Removing the battery from Xbox One and Xbox 360 controllers reduces the risk of power-related disconnects.
  3. Check that Output Protocol in Gtuner Pro → Tools → Options → Device is set to the correct gaming system, or to AUTOMATIC.
  4. A genuine, first-party gaming controller is required for authentication with the console. Plug Titan One into the console, then plug the controller into Titan One and press the Xbox or PS button to authenticate. Once the controller has been authenticated, a third-party or crossover controller may be connected to Titan One, e.g. using a DUALSHOCK 4 controller on Xbox One.
  5. If Titan One is not detected on PS4, ensure PS4 → Settings → Devices → Controllers → Communication Method is set to USB.
  6. When using third-party or crossover controllers on PS4, Titan One will quickly disconnect and reconnect every 10 minutes to reauthenticate with the console. Authentication takes a fraction of a second and should not disrupt normal gameplay.
  7. If Titan One is not detected on Xbox One, press and hold the power button on the front of the console for 15 seconds. Once off, unplug the power cable to the console for 60 seconds. Reconnect the power cable and use the power button to turn on the console. Connect Titan One to the console, then attach the gaming controller for authentication with the console.
  8. A faulty or power-only USB cable from the controller to Titan One will cause disconnects. Dropping a controller while connected to USB is enough to cause a USB cable fault. Replace with a data and power capable USB cable (micro-USB on PS4 and Xbox One, mini-USB on PS3 and Xbox 360). Xbox Play & Charge Kits are unsupported because there are no data lines in the cable. Titan Connection Kit USB cables are specifically designed for competitive gaming and work well with Titan One.
  9. Use USB 2.0 ports on a PC when configuring Titan One via Gtuner Pro, updating Titan One firmware, or installing Gamepacks and GPC scripts. USB 3.0 ports are not always fully backwards-compatible with USB 2.0 devices like Titan One.
  10. Temporarily disable anti-virus apps while updating Titan One to prevent Gtuner Pro functions being blocked.
  11. Update to the latest Titan One firmware. Connect Titan One to PC via the PROG port using the supplied mini-USB cable. Start Gtuner Pro PC software and go to Tools → Firmware Update. Titan One will automatically detect the installed firmware version and prompt for an update if one is available.
