The Data & Power Switch USB cable is USB 2.0 compliant. It is suitable for USB 2.0 devices including console and computer controllers, controller adapters, mice, keyboards & joysticks, but is not suitable for USB 3.0 devices such as external Hard Disk Drives and video capture cards.

Consoles in stand-by mode continue to provide power to USB ports, leaving connected devices turned on at all times.
